Current Openings

Dance Instructor

Montessori High School at University Circle is seeking a part-time 9th and 10th grade Introduction to Dance and 11th and 12th grade International Baccalaureate dance instructor for class meetings of 8 hours per week. The 9th and 10th grade class has a projected enrollment of 10-15 students. The 11th and 12th grade class has a projected enrollment of 6 students. Student experience ranges from beginner to advanced.

In addition to the classes, the position includes leading an extracurricular after-school dance performance team meeting for a total of 3 hours per week. This performance team will perform 2 productions during the school year. Involvement in school-community events and student advising would also be desirable.

College degree or equivalent experience desired. Instructors should have the ability to teach at least three different genres of dance, including ballet, and choreography. Classical training is a plus. International Baccalaureate training prior to the start of the 2017-2018 school year would be funded by the school. Math and Science Teacher

Montessori High School at University Circle is seeking a science and math teacher interested in integrating science and math curricula for the 2017-2018 school year. A degree in and experience with any combination of Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, and Math is preferred. Interest in working with the institutions in University Circle such as the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the Cleveland Botanical Garden, and the Cleveland Museum of Art is desirable.

Office Manager

Montessori High School at University Circle is seeking an Office Manager and Registrar to act as the gatekeeper to MHS. This position is dedicated to ensuring that all interactions and experiences at the “front door” of the institution are of the highest quality in terms of professionalism and the warm and welcoming atmosphere that characterizes the MHS learning community.

The Office Manager and Registrar is also a key steward of the student experience through active management of attendance, student records, communication, emergency preparedness, and by responding to student needs as they emerge with sensitivity to and respect for the needs and characteristics of adolescents.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working under pressure in a fast-paced school environment. College degree or equivalent experience required. Familiarity working with a database is highly preferred but not required. This position reports to and provides administrative and professional support to the Head and Assistant Head of School.
